I also get grief from my grandmother on my mother's side who is very loving but when it comes to holidays never realizes people have two sides to their families (her kids are not permitted to rotate on holidays).

My mother especially because she still has deep hatred for my Dad though she denies it (I can tell by how she resents it whenever she finds out I am seeing him). So I am 24 and living on my own.

The big Christmas celebration I end up missing since I am with my Dad and his family.

I do individual visits to my mothers family around Christmas Day.

I have trauma from all the years my mother alienated me from my Dad and his family as a kid after my parents divorced (she was mad about the divorce). So as a young adult I go do Christmas with my Dad now and see my mother in the middle of the day.
